The bald get in free at Perris
June 2006
Being folliclely challenged is cause for celebration at Perris Auto Speedway
this weekend.
And it doesn't matter if the challenged one is male or female,
either.
All you have to do is be bald and you can get free admission to the PASSCAR stock car program at 6:30 p.m. at the half-mile clay oval.
If you're not bald and want to be, or just too cheap to buy a ticket, the
speedway has thought of that, too. There will be a barber on site ready to
demonstrate his (or her) tonsorial techniques on all those interested in being
shorn like lambs.
The caveat is that to qualify for free admission you must be completely bald --
none of that bald on top with fringe on the temples or similar styles. Plus, the
lights reflecting off the shaven skulls will greatly improve visibility for the
racers.
Four of the five Passcar classes will be in action -- Super Stocks, Extreme
Topless Late Models, Street Stocks and Cruisers. They'll be joined by the
California Lightning Sprints, an open-wheel development series making its first
appearance of the year at the track.
