Bald men--beware of the sun
There is a growing popularity of bald is beautiful. More and more men are
sporting the bald look whether by choice or by nature.
A bare scalp may be
beautiful but it is also an invitation for massive sun exposure. May is Melanoma
Awareness Month and this year
Men should wear an SPF of 15+ to prevent both skin cancer and a leathery looking
scalp, according to the Melanoma Cancer Center.
Melanoma associated with sun exposure is currently the most serious form of skin
cancer. Unfortunately, a bald scalp is often the closet part of one's body to
the sun and most subjected to harmful UV rays.
Melanoma spreads increasingly
faster than any other cancer and has more than doubled in the past 20 years,
according to the Melanoma Cancer Center.
