There is new hope to help woman dealing with hair loss.
One of the newest ideas is getting an injection directly into your scalp.
Dr. Raechele Gathers says African-American hair is especially at risk for
certain types of damage because it is curly and oily. The hair breaks easily and
can be extremely brittle.
Gathers is spear-heading clinical research on a rarely studied form of alopecia
or hair loss known as CCCA.
Symptoms to be aware of our: hair loss, flaking, tenderness, or an itch at the
top of your head.
Henry Ford's Multicultural Dermatology Center treats various skin and scalp
problems for people of all colors.
